A hotel ballroom outside of Cleveland,
Ohio is the setting for the International GlamaGore ScreamiCon, an annual
convention for fans, collectors and celebrities of the direct-to-video B-movie
horror film genre. The special guests this year are six of the sexiest and
most popular actresses in the business -- collectively known as the SCREAM
QUEENS.
ALEXIS is the businesswoman, carefully managing
her money and publicity to maximize the rewards from her acting career. When
beauty and popularity fade, she plans to put her Ph.D. to good use as a
college professor.
BIANCA is the good-natured Southern homebody and
mother of two young twin boys. After years as a waitress and topless dancer,
she is happily married to a cartoonist who encourages her to use her ample
attributes to provide for the family.
DEEDEE is a former prom queen, turned biker
chick, turned porno star. Anxious to break through as a respectable actress
ala Traci Lords, she simultaneously grinds out her horror films and XXX shorts
in hopes of someday screwing someone who can genuinely advance her career.
NADINE is the senior member of the Queens,
having started her career in many of the European horror films of the early
70s. Her classy British demeanor and ageless physical allure has kept her a
favorite amongst the fans for two generations.
RICHELLE is the most popular horror starlet of
the late 80s, famous for her athletic body and near-perfect breasts -- which
she displays in all of her films -- and for her trademark characterization of
a chainsaw-wielding psychotic killer bimbo.
TONYA is the youngest Queen, still naive and
hopeful about movie stardom and a career in show business. She diligently
attends Hollywood acting classes, eager to extend the range of her
one-dimensional, blonde, bimbo film characters.
They perform a 90-minute musical revue that they have specially written
themselves for the ScreamiCon fans. They sing, dance, clown and tease, taking
us on a hilarious journey through their lives and careers as celebrity
hopefuls and cult sex symbols.
During the show, they read and answer several fan letters, present a
"Lifetime Achievement Award" to a famous horror film personality and involve
the audience in a "screaming contest" and an improvised "Q & A" session.
They also present their "demo reels," brief video highlights from their most
popular horror films.
And a good time is had by all!
